The Concept Symetry Guitar is an aluminium bodied electric guitar
designed with three components.
The body is machined from solid aluminium, chambered from the rear
and opened at the front to recieve a precision engineered plate.
The hardware plate carries all the hardware -
The pickups, bridge, pots, switches and jack socket.
This feature makes it unique among electric guitars most of which
anchor the bridge to the body and offset the swtiches to right or left hand.
It is designed symmetrically so it can be played either way.
The final component is a precision engineered rear aluminium plate.
This closes the chamber but makes it possible to access the electronics
without removing the hardware plate.
The production
model has a 24 fret mahogany neck and the deep double
cutaways and
heel-less design allow good access to all those frets.
Tone and volume are handled with standard pots controlling
hot open coil humbucker pickups which are cold wired for easy exchange.
There are no trick electronics to go wrong or digitise the sound.
The body is produced in a fully equipped CNC workshop in
Brightlingsea in Essex. Yes - it is British designed and made.
